Blog Log : Harry Potter 1(The sorcerer's Stone)
When Harry Potter was a baby, an evil wizard named Lord Voldemort tried to kill him along with his parents whom were very great witches and wizards. Harry, somehow managed to conquer him with no use of magic that he was aware of and Voldemort went missing for many yearsHarry was then left alone with the people who hated him most, the Dursleys.
The Dursleys were his mother's sister's family. They had a very mean son named Dudley. Harry almost LIVED in a cupboard! Dudley's favorite game was "Harry Hunting." Harry hated it there.
One day, after 10 years of this, he received a letter from the mail!(This NEVER had happened) His mean uncle drives the family out to the beach to get away from "such nonsense" but Harry's letters keep coming and his mean uncle keeps burning them up. I predict that the letters will keep on coming and Harry will finally get one.

I thought that this poem was very funny and that is actually IS worth it and fair AND funny! So here it is and I hope that you enjoy it!
I'm making my brother my personal slave,
so now when I greet you my brother will wave. He'll do all my homework; he'll take all my tests. He'll clean up my messes and wait on my guests. He'll hold out my hanky whenever I sneeze. He'll say that he did it if I "cut the cheese." He'll go take a bath if I play in the dirt. He'll eat all my spinach, then feed me dessert. He'll empty the garbage and vacuum the floors and finish my other unsavory chores, like washing the dishes and mowing the yard or anything else even modestly hard. I really enjoy all the effort I save by making my brother my personal slave. And though I'll admit how exciting it is, I'm not sure it's worth it, 'cause next week I'm his.

Blog Log : I went to the barber
I thought that this poem was very funny because he probably wanted just make people laugh and that he probably isn't dead or else this poem wouldn't be here! :( Here it is and I hope you enjoy it!
I went to the barber.
I went to the barber.
He cut off my hair,
which would have been great,
but he didn't stop there.
He slipped with his scissors.
He snipped with his shears,
and cut off my eyebrows
and both of my ears.
I jumped in my seat
causing several more slips;
he cut off my nose
and my cheeks and my lips.
With one final slip-up
he cut off my head,
and that is the reason
I ended up dead.
So kids, if your dad tells you,
"You need a trim,"
just pull out this poem
and show it to him.
As soon as he reads this,
I'm willing to bet,
that that's the last haircut
that you'll ever get.

I thought that this poem was very funny
A candy bar.
A piece of cake. A lollipop. A chocolate shake. A jelly donut. Chocolate chips. Some gummy worms and licorice whips. A candy cane. A lemon drop. Some bubblegum and soda pop. Vanilla wafers. Cherry punch. My mom slept in while I made lunch.

Blog Log:I taught my cat to clean my room.
| I thought that this poem was very funny except I actually think that it is a fair because the cat has doing more work then the person. here it is and I hope that you enjoy it.
I taught my cat to clean my room,
to use a bucket, brush and broom,
to dust my clock and picture frames, and pick up all my toys and games. He puts my pants and shirts away, and makes my bed, and I would say it seems to me it's only fair he puts away my underwear. In fact, I think he's got it made. I'm not as happy with our trade. He may pick up my shoes and socks, but I clean out his litterbox.

Marji still feels like she should get a divorce! They argue every day until one day, The professor gives them an assignment to make a diorama explaining a theme park based on ancient times.
Blog Log : My sister says shes sleepy
My sister says she's sleepy,
that her energy is sapped. She says she'd feel much better if she climbed in bed and napped. She says she she feels so drowsy, that she has to shut her eyes. She just can't keep from closing them no matter how she tries. She's claims she's so exhausted that she cannot stay awake. She swears that she'll be useless till she has a little break. She says she needs to catch some Z's, to hit the hay, to doze, to hibernate, to dream, to have a moment of repose. I'm pretty sure she's faking when she jumps in bed and snores. This happens every time our mother says to do her chores.

Blog Log : I love to do the laundry
I love to do the laundry.
I mean it. I don't mind because I get to keep whatever money I might find. I know it sounds ridiculous. I'm sure it must seem strange. But every time I wash the clothes I find some pocket change. I found a dollar yesterday. Today I found a ten. I'm certain that tomorrow I'll find money once again. You see, I have a strategy. (I guess that's what you call it.) And sometimes I just accidentally wash my father's wallet.

Blog Log : The Help
The lady that is interviewing Abaleen and Minny actually is going to stay at the restaurant but will just have dessert. I predict that the person that owns the restaurant will change his mind and serve them real food.
Cool ice cream recipie
Here is an ice cream making recepie that I found on the internet! Hope that you make it & I hope that you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
I cup of milk or half 'n' half
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp granulated sugar
extras: chocolate syrup, fresh fruit, crumbed cookies, jam, etc.
Materials:
1 gallon ziplock bag
1 quart ziplock bag
1 sandwich ziplock bag
1/2 cup rock salt
enough salt to fill the gallon ziplock bag at least half way
tape
spoon
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all the ingredients into the sandwich sized baggie.
"Lock" the sandwich bag and then tape it shut.
Place the sandwich bag into the quart sized baggie.
Put the quart sized baggie into the gallon sized bag.
Add ice so that it fills the gallon bag at least half way (more is okay).
Add the rock salt to the ice.
Seal the gallon sized bag.
Shake the bag for 5-15 minutes.
HINT: The longer you shake the more "solid" your ice cream will be. Remove the sandwich bag from the two other bags and enjoy!
WHY ADD SALT to the ICE?
Salt actually lowers the freezing point of water, which melts the ice in the bag so its no longer a solid but it is still 32 degrees creating ice water. The water covers more surface area of the bags inside the gallon bag (than the solid ice would) and makes it cool the ice cream ingredients faster and ore evenly so they turn in to ICE cream faster.
Thank You!

blog log: Nicknames by Kenn Nesbitt
I think that this poem is very funny but in a way quite unrealistic. The names the friends and relatives that call him nicknames are very mean because most of those nicknames are girl nicknames! Here is the poem that I read and I hope that you enjoy it!
My aunt calls me "Elizabeth."
My grandma calls me "Liz."
My sister calls me "Lisa,"
and the baby calls me "Wiz."
My uncle calls me "Betty,"
while my grandpa calls me "Beth."
My brother calls me "Dizzy Liz"
or sometimes "Lizard Breath."
My teacher calls me "Betsy"
and my friends all call me "Bess."
I find these nicknames more annoying
than you'd ever guess.
I wish that they would call me
by my real name instead.
I simply HATE those nicknames,
see, my real name is Fred.

Blog Log : all my excuses by Kenn Nesbitt
| Picture for : All my excuses |
I think that this poem was very funny and teaches you a great lesson that you can't fool a teacher. I didn't think that his excuses were all that well though. Here it is and I hope you enjoy it!
I started on my homework
but my pen ran out of ink.
My hamster ate my homework.
My computer's on the blink.
I accidentally dropped it
in the soup my mom was cooking.
My brother flushed it down the toilet
when I wasn't looking.
My mother ran my homework
through the washer and the dryer.
An airplane crashed into our house.
My homework caught on fire.
Tornadoes blew my notes away.
Volcanoes struck our town.
My notes were taken hostage
by an evil killer clown.
Some aliens abducted me.
I had a shark attack.
A pirate swiped my homework
and refused to give it back.
I worked on these excuses
so darned long my teacher said,
"I think you'll find it's easier
to do the work instead."

Blog Log : If I had a dollar by Kenn Nesbitt
I think that the poem If I had a dollar is very cute and funny. It very much makes sense that he is only buying very small and cheap things because you can't really buy anything with $1! Here it is and I hope you enjoy it :
If I had a dollar
I know what I'd do;
I'd go to the mall
and I'd spend it on you.
I'd shop for a shoelace,
or maybe a sock,
or maybe a ribbon,
or maybe a rock.
I'd pay for a pickle,
a pear, or a plum.
I'd get you a grape,
or a half-pack of gum.
I'd spring for some string
if the string were on sale.
I'd purchase a pinky-sized
pink plastic pail.
I'd pick up a pencil,
I'd give you a stick.
I'd buy you a bit of
a board or a brick.
I like you, I do,
but I'm sorry to say
you can't get a lot
for a dollar today.

Blog Log: Polar Vortex
"The Polar Vortex"
In some places of the USA, there are temperatures below -32 degrees. If I were in one of those places, I would be really really freaked out because some people have gotten frostbite which is where you get so cold that the tips of your fingers of your fingers and toes fall off!! My uncle Lance lives in North Dakota where he flies an airplane. I feel very worried for him because if it gets too cold then he can crash and then be outside and will get frostbite. I think living in Oregon is a privilege because we don't have extreme temperatures like other parts of the world.

Blog Log: Dog in Soup
I thought that this poem was very very funny. I like dogs and I like soup, but when they are combined, they don't really go together all that well. Though, it is sort of confusing, the picture looks like a dalmation but the soup is called Chicken Poodle Soup. And dalmations and poodles are very different from each other!
Waiter, There's a Dog in my Soup
There's a doggy in my soup dish.
There's a canine in my cup.
The waiter brought a bowl out
and I found this grubby pup.
His fur is simply sopping.
He's wet from head to toes.
He's got some peas upon his paws
and noodles on his nose.
He doesn't look too happy.
His eyes are filled with tears.
Or maybe that's just chicken soup
that's dripping from his ears.
I'm sure I asked for noodles.
I got this dog instead.
I wonder how this happened.
Was it something that I said?
I guess I must have mumbled.
I'm such a nincompoop!
It seems the waiter heard me ask for
Chicken Poodle Soup.

Blog Log: Helen Keller, Story of My Life, Chapter 1
Helen Keller was about 2 years old when she lost her eyesight and hearing. She had a very very very bad fever when she turned 2 that took her hearing and eyesight. Her first word to regain was water. She called it "wah-wah." She loved the roses at her house because she could smell them and it was one of her favorite childhood memories.
blog log : Ender's Game, pgs. 20-28
Ender is at battle school. He is in a rocket ship upside down in outer space. This is a test to see if he can be a commander for a spaceship. He is very worried and the kid next to him is being mean to him. I predict that the kid next to him will stop being mean to him because the teacher will tell him to stop. If I were Ender, I would tell him to stop personally since Ender didn't tell the kid himself.
blog log : ender's game

Monday Jan. 20, 2014 pgs. 70-88 Annora
Anastasia's mom is having her baby in March. Anastasia hates her parents now and want to run away! Her dad says that if she stays, she gets to name the baby. Anastasia has thought of the worst name possible but the book hasn't told me what the horrible name is yet but I feel scared for the baby. I predict that her parents will soon convince her to be nice and to be kind to the baby. I would not know what to name the baby!

Introduction
Hello! My name as you probably know is Annora. I am 9 years old. My favorite color is neon yellow and my favorite animal is a giraffe. My mom is awesome, and my dad is awesome too. My pets are Chip, the giant cat; Biscette, my chicken; and last but not least, Ariah and Ginger, my two other chickens who look just alike. I named this blog "double digits" because on February 5th, I am turning 10. I think that "double digits" is a cool name because, in 90 years, it will be "triple digits!"
