Abaleen's friend has found a job! A lady from the country does not know the rules so she wants to have Minny help her cook. Right now, Minny is out of town so Abaleen has to pretend that she is Minny and has to help the person cook! I predict that it will work out fine and that she will learn how to cook in the experience.

Mae got in trouble by her mom! She was tugging on the telephone pole when her mom was on the phone. Her mom was very upset so she sent Abaleen out of the room with Mae and now Mae is not allowed to use or touch the phone. Abaleen's friend, Minny, has been cheated on as well! Her boss said that she would pay her $67 but instead she didn't give her any money and started to spread rumors that she was stealing when she wasn't. I predict that she will soon stop and the rumors will stop spreading.

Abaleen is an African American maid. She is taking care of a baby named Mae Mobley. Mae is very feisty and loves Abaleen even more than her own Mom! They get along very well because Mae's Mom is usually busy and isn't a very nice mom so Abaleen is usually taking care of Mae herself. I predict that Mae will grow up with Abaleen and then move away with Abaleen to help her with other things
